I use photography to open the world’s eyes into my heart. The pictures I take are mostly narrative, so everyone can relate to them. I want to let my viewers feel strong emotions when they look at my work. I use bright colors with high contrast to make the photographs more expressive and dynamic.
My style focuses on the rule of thirds. Placing the subject directly in the center of the piece creates a static feeling, so by using the rule of thirds each photograph is more aesthetically pleasing. Then, lighting is one of the most important components in my work as well. The perfect lighting will cast interesting shadows or in some cases no shadows at all. Depending on the piece, the shadows play a positive and negative spacing with the subject. Since I mostly use natural lighting, I will wait until the ideal lighting is present to take my photographs.
Every picture I create tells a story. My work shows the beauty in each of my subjects, whether it be demonstrating positive or negative emotions. Every viewer will feel connected to my pieces and want to question the photograph deeper. It is a pleasure to me that what I hold close to my heart, I can share with so many people.
